I got inspired by a recipe from a restaurant in Lisbon, they make a similar herb tofu and I decided to give it a try. After a few tries I managed to get something I like that's quite similar, easy to make and just so good.

This easy herb tofu is even better with a splash of soy sauce. After multiple tries, I realized something was missing, and adding soy sauce after cooking made all the difference. It gives a subtle umami flavor that elevates the dish. I promise, it’s worth it!

The Recipe

Herbs Tofu

A quick 15-minute tofu recipe that needs just a few ingredients and minimal prep. Simply combine fresh herbs, mix, and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 400 grams tofu
  • 20 grams parsley
  • 20 grams coriander
  • 20 grams chives
  • 10 grams mint
  • 4 tbsp yogurt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Juice of 1/2 lime
  • Flour, for coating
  • Soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Cut the tofu into cubes and coat with flour.
  2. Cook the tofu over medium heat, sautéing until golden brown.
  3. Meanwhile, combine all the herbs, yogurt, olive oil, and lime juice in a bowl; season with salt and pepper.
  4. Once the tofu is cooked, add a splash of soy sauce and toss it in the herb sauce and serve.
